Early in his career at the U.S. Department of Energy, Mac conducted rigorous technoeconomic assessments for federal stakeholders, evaluating liquid fuels and chemical value chains while refining sophisticated models that captured the interplay of industrial production, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
In private industry, he has focused on consulting, process design, modular plant engineering, construction oversight, and plant startup across biofuels, polymers, water treatment, and specialty chemicals. Mac has a proven track record guiding clients through economic feasibility studies, conceptual development, detailed design, and successful execution of both novel first-of-a-kind facilities and optimized conventional plants.
His unique blend of expertise in technoeconomic analysis, detailed plant design, and real-world operations enables him to drive meaningful improvements across batch, semi-continuous, and fully continuous production strategies—delivering higher yields, lower costs, and faster paths to commercial success.
